Light switch relocation
A light switch can be moved for easier access after a room change, reversed door swing or different furniture layout.
The control arrangement and cable route are established before the box and mechanism are fitted at the agreed position. Every key and connected light is tested, including a contact heat check.
How “Light switch relocation” is completed
Test before handover
Conductor functions and the switching arrangement are checked. After relocation, each gang, each lighting group and every linked multiway switch are tested.
Light switch relocation in Kyiv: what to know before booking
Preparing for the visit
Send photos of both positions and tell us how many switches control the same lights. Include the door opening direction and planned furniture layout.
Limitations and additional work
The shortest route may be unsuitable because of concealed services, joint accessibility or wiring condition. Chasing and restoration of finishes are assessed separately.
Questions about “Light switch relocation”
Can two-way lighting control be retained?
Specify this before work starts. Two-way or intermediate switching needs suitable switches and conductors; moving one switch does not automatically provide that arrangement.
How does relocation differ from switch replacement?
Replacement changes the mechanism in its existing box. Relocation adds a new mounting position and changes the cable route.
What affects the final price?
The page shows a guide price of from ₴500. The final amount depends on the actual condition, access and materials and is agreed before work starts.
Do I need to buy materials myself?
Suitable customer-supplied materials can be used, or their selection can be agreed with the technician. Dimensions, ratings and compatibility should be checked before purchase to avoid paying twice for an unsuitable part.
